Once I had the rear u-bolts tightened I noticed that the new yoke that was installed when the 9″ was rebuilt was a bit longer than the one that was used to measure the drive shaft. I used the long jack stands to take the load off of the lift to see how much free play was left on the front yoke. It looks like I have a good 3/4″ left with the drive shaft close to horizontal. I will need to check it with more weight in the wagon, but it looks like it should be okay.

Drive Shaft Installed

While I was working at the rear of the wagon I decided to install the gas tank to see what else would need to be done to get it operational. I used some super glue to to attach some pieces of 1/16″ rubber pads to the inside corners of the mounting straps. After I got the tank in I noticed that I will have to reposition the fuel module and I also need to find the male connector for the fuel module. I am pretty sure I saved it from the Durango, but not sure where I stored it…
Also I think I will use some of the rubber pad material to protect the top of the aluminum tank from the bottom of the floor.

Fuel Tank Test Fit

Finished up installing the drive line by bolting in the drive shaft.
