My plan of attack at present is to install all the bits and pieces that need to be wired prior to beginning wiring the wagon. I had thought I was all done with the dash board but something kept nagging at me that I had not done something that needed to be done. As I was drifting off to sleep the other evening, I suddenly remembered that I had not yet insulated the firewall prior to installing all the stuff that I had bolted to it.<\/p>\n
Arrrgh! The next day I removed everything and insulated the firewall area, and then replaced all the parts again. While I was at it I also bit the bullet and mounted the dryer for the A\/C line. It is not where I wanted it, I had hoped to mount it out of the way and hidden but could not find a good spot for it. I also installed the switches in the door posts that turn the interior lights on when the doors are opened. And finally I worked out a way to mount the LED lights that I had bought to use as a third brake light\/signal. The LED were mounted in an aluminum tube that was designed for a F1 Ford Truck bed. During one of my many ACE Hardware trips I found some snap in plastic rings that were exactly the right size to hold the LEDs. I used a 1″ uni-bit drill to open the existing mounting hole up to 1″, snapped in the rings and then the lights – They look like a factory fit!<\/p>\n\n
Getting Close to Wiring the Dodge!<\/strong><\/p>\n Unless I am mistaken the only remaining electrical items that need to be installed at this time is the wireless door locks.
