{"id":4688,"date":"2016-04-16T15:51:39","date_gmt":"2016-04-16T22:51:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csmonroe.net\/Blog\/?p=4688"},"modified":"2016-04-16T15:51:39","modified_gmt":"2016-04-16T22:51:39","slug":"back-from-powder-coating","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csmonroe.net\/Blog\/2016\/04\/16\/back-from-powder-coating\/","title":{"rendered":"Back from Powder Coating"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On April \u00a04th Michelle and I made a quick trip down to the valley to pick up the frame and other parts that I had taken to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/arizona-powder-coat-phoenix\">Arizona Powder Coating<\/a> a few weeks ago. \u00a0I was told that the parts would be done in 12 to 14 working days and on the 12th day we got a call informing us that we could pick them up. \u00a0When we got there I checked everything over and it all looked great. Toby had installed a limited slip for me into the Currie differential. \u00a0Based upon my experience with lack of traction with the 4000# wagon with only 350 HP, I figured that this under 3000# convertible with upwards of 500 HP would be in a &#8220;all skate&#8221; condition most of the time.<\/p>\n<p>I had hoped to get started putting everything back together starting on the 5th, but as the bard once said;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The best-laid schemes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertburns.org\/works\/glossary\/1208.html\">o&#8217;<\/a> mice <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertburns.org\/works\/glossary\/41.html\">an<\/a> &#8216;men<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertburns.org\/works\/glossary\/742.html\">Gang<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robertburns.org\/works\/glossary\/18.html\">aft<\/a> agley&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A couple of weeks prior to all of this, my daughter and son in law paid us a visit and told us that Brandon was being transferred to Phoenix by ADOT. This transfer means a much greater job opportunity for Brandon and we were in total support of the move. They had been living in our second home which we bought before I retired from Motorola in Austin. Prior to them staying in the house, Michelle&#8217;s sister lived there. So after 14 yrs we ran out of family to stay in the house.
