I also wanted the 5 on 4 1\/2 Ford stud pattern replaced by the 5 of 4 3\/4 GM pattern to match the front GM hubs.<br \/>\nWhile I was at it I mounted the new gas tank as well.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Drive Shaft, Axles and Gas Tank Install<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I contacted Dick at Mountain Drive Line to find out what measurements he needed for the drive shaft. After making the measurements I took the drive shaft and axles over to Dick and he cut off the Durango U-Joint and replaced it with a 9&#8243; Ford one. The Durango Drive shaft did not need to be shortend nor rebalanced &#8211; amazing how close the &#8217;56 Dodge and the 2005 Durango were in size.
