Moving On!

After removing the masking that I had done around the repairs to the doors on the driver side, I disassembled the paint booth. I will have more to paint in the near future after I modify the dashboard, but the weather will be nice enough that I can do it outside when the wind isnt blowing 40 mph.

Unfortunately when I was spraying the window frames I coated the floor of the booth with a fair amount of overspray (too high air pressure) and I didnt clean it right away, sooo I have this nifty orange patch on the shop floor, which will eventually will wear off.

Once the booth was down and stored away, and I straightened up the back of the shop a bit I pushed the wagon back in onto the lift and removed the steering column and the third member from the rear end housing so that we could take them down to the valley with us today. The steering column will be rebuilt and it will have the ignition key removed as well as the windshield washer/cruise control. The Ford 9″ will be overhauled and the ring and pinion will be changed from a 2.0:1 to a 3.5:1 ratio. This should give me around 17-1800 RPM at 65 mph.

Removing the Steering Column and Third Member

When we get back from the Valley I will finally get around to ordering the parts that I need to rebuild the front and rear suspension and will start color sanding … groan … sigh …
