Day 9 – Louanna Gets Married!

The high point of our trip was to see our best friend Louanna Kitchen marry Don Bonogofski, and I got to walk her down the aisle and give her away!

Before the wedding on Saturday afternoon Michelle and I helped Chris and Gary decorate the reception room at the church where Lou & Don were going to get married.  We had a great time blowing up balloons and playing with streamers and confetti.

We had time to run back to the motel, less than a quarter mile away, to get changed and gussied up for the wedding ceremony.  Shortly after we returned, the happy couple arrived and Michelle helped with getting the their flowers attached to the happy couple.  Lou’s facial expressions during this operation were priceless and typical Louanna.

With Don and his son Jerome at the alter, Chris led off our trek up the aisle, when Lou and I headed up the aisle, Pastor Bruce asked everyone to stand and we began our journey, with Lou dragging me forward… I was trying to move at a more stately pace while Lou was in her let’s get er done mode… 😉

The highlight of the ceremony was when the Pastor asked Lou if she took this man … etc… etc… she said; ” I certainly DO!, ABSOLUTLY” nuff said…

The reception was wonderful and the food was GREAT… the broccoli salad was to die for! Everyone had a great time and Michelle and I really enjoyed meeting Lou & Don’s family and friends.

Later that evening, Don & Lou Bonogofski , Sherrie & John Rogala, Michelle and I met for dinner at the Europa Restaurant in Enumclaw for some really great German cuisine and BEER! The end of a truly wonderful day!
