Suspension Air Lines

Next on the agenda was to polish and  install the stainless air lines. Actually the 1/4″ stainless air lines were a lot easier to bend, flare and polish than the 3/16″ brake lines. Needed to do some reconfiguring around where the lines pass through the frame to get enough clearance on the motor mounts. In the back I needed to split the rear air lines so that each bag could be controlled separately, also had to do some cutting and bending to clear the height sensors in on the rear right side. I did a test install of the DOT Air Line connectors that AccuAir supplied with the kit to make sure I had enough clearances. Each bag will be connected to the computer controlled air relay bank using DOT plastic air lines. This will eliminate a lot of problems during the final set up. Once I was sure things were clearanced properly I reinstalled the Schrader valves so that I could do a system check.

I have run several tests and the bags and lines seem to be holding pressure well. When I get the body mounted I can finalize the placement of the compressor, tank and control valve package. It should be either under the rear seat or behind the rear seat backrest in the forward trunk area.

Air Suspension Lines

All in all I am really happy with the way things are coming together, wildfires notwithstanding. I am getting caught up with several other projects that I have going so I should be moving forward again soon!
