Time to finish the rest of the rust repair on the body. Same basic proceedure as before. However I did try a some new technology, new to me that is, that was recommended by a good friend of mine who has a body shop.
There was quite a lot of rust through spots on the driver’s side rear portion of the roof near the drip rail. This area is quite close to the area damaged by the sand blaster so I was quite worried about creating further problems by welding in a normal patch panel. My recommended that I use panel adheasive to attach the patch panel to the inside of the roof, then fill the holes with Kitty Hair filler. I coated the patch panel with adheasive then used self tapping machine screws to hold the panel tight to the body until it cured. In a word it worked so well that I used the same proceedure to repair several other rust throughs on both rear quarter panels.
