Day 4 – Cruising Up 395

It sure is great to be out on the road again! I am in the passenger seat typing away on my laptop while Miss Michelle is at the wheel this afternoon as we are driving up through the Sierras in Northern CA. We will spend the night in Klamath Falls, leaving us a short drive to Eugene tomorrow.

California is really really really dry. Almost all of the lakes we have passed are practically bone dry, the forests are in bad shape as well. Hopefully they will get some of the moisture from Norbert

I didn’t  bother to do any photography today.  The smoke from the Yosemite fire was hanging deep and dense for most of the trip and the forest looked drier than I had ever seen for this part of the world.

Southern Oregon in the Klamath Valley is also very dry and in need of rain.  I am hoping that it will get better as we head north.
