Some More New Tools!

After taking a better look at the rust damage, especially on the passenger side, I decided that I would have to make a number of patch panels to be able to end up with a decent repair. To help with fabricating the panels I bought a set of plastic and wooden headed mallets, a heavy hickory slapper and a beater bag from Dragger Tools. While I was waiting for the Brown Truck to arrive with the tools, I went over to our local welding store to by a new pair of gloves and a bottle of C25. As usual, they were having a damn sale and I ended up buying a really nice Miller Spectrum 625 40 A/220V inverter plasma cutter and a Miller Diversion 185 TIG Welder. The new inverter power supply machines are so much smaller than the old style transformer supply versions, that they take up a lot less shop space. I had been browing a friends plasma cutter and TIG and liked working with them so much that I felt that I needed my own. The plasma was in stock and the had to have the TIG brought up from the valley. And I had to buy a pair of TIG gloves to boot… I hate tool sales ;-(
